It’s good as part of a quick meal and it’s flavorful not to be confused with the original longer cooking rice a roni on the stove. As a widowed senior male it’s convenient and quick when u don’t feel like devoting a lot of time cooking.

Ease of preparation is so easy, taste is kind of bland, but honestly they're really good for what you're getting.. I ordered more! Value for money is great! I eat one of these for lunch and I'm full at work! Quality is on par with all other Maruchan products. So the speed you can eat these, if you have 4 minutes, you have a good, hearty meal.

So I Actually Received this on Accident !! True Story !! I fell in love ! I order two a month and they are super convenient. I do things with them I fix them in the microwave and use the flavor packet and eat it as is as quick snack when I am hungry . Or I don’t use the flavor packet and add my cabbage or other veggies to it right in the container and eat it as a meal . What is so great is I can make a whole pan of stir fry or oven roasted veggies and have that for a week and add it to the rice and I don’t have to dirty any more dishes !! This was such a happy accident . So filling itself and even more filling and healthy with the veggies added . It’s a low fat snack !!

IF you are looking for FAST RICE with a slight flavor this is a good buy. Personally, it could use a little more salt, but you can just add that yourself. Overall its a great FAST and EZ rice dish.

Common complaint is that it's bland. It is bland. It's so perfectly plain you can use your own spices to make it into any flavor. It's a perfect easy to use instant rice that makes life so much easier for me. Alot of instant rices in the US have a plastic aftertaste to me due to the methods of heating. But this? This is a perfect rice & if you don't use the packet it's a perfect white rice. I hope this never goes off shelves importing from Asia is so expensive for instant rice & this is both affordable & useful without tasting awful.
